Marty Rathbun’s Black Propaganda Campaign

Ever noticed that Marty Rathbun gleefully presents and supports people who tell the same outrageous lies and alarming claims? Whenever you hear the same upsetting fabrications coming from different sources, you know you are looking (at the very least) at bank agreement. When you hear the same lies coming from different quarters that sound like coordinated stories or complaints, you can be sure they are indeed part of a coordinated campaign.

LRH pointed out:

When there is a concerted short- or long-term campaign going on against someone or something from a single or multiple source, there has been a black PR agreement as to what to say about that someone or something.

Some worked-out and agreed-upon entheta is concocted.

Marty Rathbun specializes in promoting just such agreement. When he’s not busy squirreling the Tech, he’s busy gathering the occasional nut into his nest.  It’s painfully obvious in the entheta pronouncements of these other no-gain-cases he recruits. They not only follow Marty’s prescribed formula, they make the same criticisms and forward the same generalities and lies. In fact, Rathbun requires that before a person can be admitted to his squirrel ranks.

LRH goes on,

An enemy group usually originates several carefully worked-out entheta statements. You can always trace these as being a planned campaign by someone because the same perverted statements appear at widely separated points.

Aside from spotting these coordinated (by Rathbun and Rinder) statements, you can tell they are part of Rathbun’s black PR campaign by the clumsy way the same robotic stories are repeated point by point and cloaked as sympathetic “personal stories.” They are clumsy indeed to anyone who can tell when something is written or said from a level of covert hostility.

You can also tell because they are issued, in the case of “ex-staff”, by people who spent many years hiding on a post covering their lack of production and overt products while citing themselves as “upstat,” highly trained or audited, or even “on-Source,” when upon inspection you find that they spent many years avoiding any training or auditing at all, and their “stats” were based on someone else’s production. And the first thing they do upon joining Rathbun is go off-Source and commit Suppressive Acts.

The truth is that they ended up blowing because of their own transgressions. This is the case with Rathbun and his henchman Rinder, and is the kind of individual they seek out to join them, and issue the same outrageous claims that Rathbun and Rinder have been trying to broadcast through as many “sources” as possible.

But LRH spotted this as the clumsy black-PR technique of “yesterday’s lies proves today’s lie.”

Recognize this when you see sources issuing Rathbun’s lies – even using his same catch phrases – from apparently different points.

It’s just Marty Rathbun trying to convince you it’s “everybody” and it’s what “they say.”

  1. Ana G says:

Thanks, Vince, this is a terrific article. This phenomenon becomes very real if you watch the news, especially if you follow the political campaigns, the way candidates are smeared twenty times a day in the same words by twenty so-called “different sources.” Whenever I hear anti-Scn stuff, it’s always the same enemy lines, been hearing them for decades.

  2. Lorette says:

“An enemy group usually originates several carefully worked-out entheta statements. You can always trace these as being a planned campaign by someone because the same perverted statements appear at widely separated points.”

I think this is quite obviously true to common sense people. I don’t think we give the pubic enough credit. Although it is true that we cannot take chances and must keep pointing out how attacks on Scientology are coordinated, I believe that people – particularly religious people – are wise to them. Christians, Mormons, Jews, Muslims, all have been the target of such attacks.

  3. Jesse Morris says:

    >>Marty Rathbun specializes in promoting just such agreement. When he’s not busy squirreling the Tech, he’s busy gathering the occasional nut into his nest. << Hah! Great picture, that! I can just see crazy Marty chittering to himself, eyes bugged-out like a rabid critter, as he cons another PTS into writing him a check. Gawd, these folks are sad!!

  4. Vic G. says:

It really does happen like clockwork – 10 minutes with Marty Rathbun and these theetie-weeties are out there spewing the same crap you will read on his blog – which is almost as much of a waste of space as Marty himself.

  5. Sharpe says:

Great post, Vince. You’ve made number of key points. People have mentioned some of these before, but this is another one of those things you can’t say enough.
    a) consider the sources. When they’re not overtly suppressive, the tools he uses usually follow the pattern you mentioned. They cite all their “certs,” training, posts they held, blah blah blah, and then show themselves to be generality spouting natterers. They discredit themselves with their coming-out speeches.
    b) RatRin’s campaign is clearly co-ordinated with agreed-upon entheta concocted. This has been obvious going back to Hall and Scobee and their victim-stories. They were so obviously saying what Marty wanted them to say it was laughable.
    c) ANYONE who tries to promote themselves as “pro” and “on-source” who then goes out and commit CLEARLY proscribed SP acts might as well be promoting Chairman Mao’s little red book. No one is going to take them seriously.

  6. coalworker says:

You’re a better person than I, Lorette! I don’t trust that people get it. I think this is a very important post that can’t be reposted enuf.

  7. Larry H says:

Marty’s gansta initiation rituals..making people commit suppressive acts to prove they should join his little squirrel gang.. is bad enough. When these people then do it, you know you can’t believe anything they say about being “Scientologists” and loving the tech, etc.

  8. kahn22 says:

maybe I’m naive, but I think everyone can see that this is all concocted as the quote says. even the bad guys know it’s a phony sham. only the sp media acts like this garbage is credible.

  9. Teacher says:

That’s a funny line – “It’s just Marty Rathbun trying to convince you it’s “everybody” and it’s what “they say”
…but it’s true. This is Rathbun trying to create a generality by hiding behind other puppets, and trying to make it look like “everybody says.”

  10. coracampbell600 says:

That’s true, I am amazed at how Debbie Cook’s rants sound just ike Marty’s! And Mike Rinder’s! And Karen de la C’s – they’re so obvious about it. These people have no shame.

  11. Philo says:

I love the line from LRH, “yesterday’s lies proves today’s lie…”
These SP’s popping up occasionally (funny how they’re all connected to Rathbun for some reason!) recycle the old lies as if to prove the veracity of their lie today. It’s an old pattern, and I think LRH spotted that in the 70′s if I’m not mistaken.
It’s not just a lack of originality on their part. They’ve drunk the kool aid, and signed on to Rathbun’s program. Their get their talking points from him and Rinder.

And every single one of those weaklings would deny Marty prescribed what they say.

This is as close as Rathbun every really comes to being a “C/S.”

  12. Terri says:

I hope that’s true, but I think Rathbun and Rinder are cynically counting on people not being very bright, and their slander of Scientology being as thorough as possible so as to keep as many people as possible off the Bridge.

  13. Sharpe says:

The checks are bad enough, but the patterned declarations are hard to read without throwing up. These people act like they’re “thinking for themselves,” but are clearly in propitiation to Rat and Rin in the hopes of becoming a part of some group, somewhere. But each one of them is an utterly failed group member with a completely trashed code of honor.
    .
They mimic Marty’s favorite natter points, and work on these things for a long time. Part of the directions they receive from RatRin include “be as specific as possible” so these things sound legit instead of just pre-packaged natter from NCG’s.

  14. jellybelly says:

Tragic when people stoop so low. What will be your next job, Marty? Concentration camp guard?

  15. jellybelly says:

2 and a half percent of the people will buy it, that we know. That’s a firghteningly large number. We can’t post the truth about Rathbun and his cohorts long enough or loud enough on this forum. Can’t ease up. VIGILANCE – price of freedom.

  16. Lion says:

I agree; I think most people can see this. I’ve even seen bits on TV lately where newspeople in different parts of the country are mocked for delivering *exactly* the same news story as though it was exclusive to them.
Anytime someone hears something they’ve heard before, they usually remember that and even where they heard it. It’s a basic skill.

  17. Lion says:

I think people who visit this blog know most of this already, but it’s great that you posted it. Arrogant morons like Rathbun or Rinder run around thinking people won’t notice what they are up to with this black pr campaign. It would probably surprise them to know most people see through it, and only the ones already in their cult (and the Merchants in the media) go for it.

  18. NB says:

“Some worked-out and agreed-upon entheta is concocted”
    ~
Exactly right. Yet Rathbun would have us believe he doesn’t believe in “organization.”
He and a couple of others work late into the night trying to get every one of their fellow SPs to keep their stories straight. It’s probably their version of a “product conference.”

  19. jellybelly says:

Yeah, well, look at this people. If you knew any of them personally like I did you know you are dealing with people who will say and do anything – lazy crims who got promoted by blaming others for their failures. I knew Cook and Rinder – incompetent boobs, both. I could go on and on about just how incompetent. But Flag is flourishing without them. ‘Nuff said.

  20. Terri says:

This really IS a version of an “everybody thinks” kind of generality that SP’s love to create.
One thing Rathbun really is hatted on is being a genuine, by-the-book Suppressive.

  21. Lillian B. says:

“Ever noticed that Marty Rathbun gleefully presents and supports people who tell the same outrageous lies and alarming claims? ”

In fact, yes. Funny you should ask. He’s incredibly stupid and and obvious about it too. My *grandmother* saw him on some CNN program an said he looked and sounded like a “confidence man”, she called him. God love my granny!!

“When there is a concerted short- or long-term campaign going on against someone or something from a single or multiple source, there has been a black PR agreement as to what to say about that someone or something.” – LRH

Marty apparently studies the PR Series to use it in reverse.

  25. Christine says:

The fun part is that the entheta is so much less, and the press are so much more despised for the obvious tactics. So many more people know Scientologists too, so that I never have a problem anymore with people I meet who think they are anti-Scientologist. I just say, “Where did you hear that?” 1000% of the time I can respond to their answer with a variation on, “And when did you ever know them to tell the truth about some area that you were involved in.” 1000% of the time we are best and trusted friends very quickly.

  26. Christine says:

“…Rathbun and Rinder are cynically counting on people not being very bright…”
    .
…to make the able more able…
    .
I don’t want to seem to callused, and I don’t approve of any Rathbun action (though I know it will eventually be a failure…they all have), but he has gotten the attention of a couple dozen deranged people and virtually no one new. Rathbun and Rinder are failures by any definition.

  27. Christine says:

They have no shame to the degree that they have no ability to have anything at all. Look at each one and show me one who is doing anything, being anything or having anything. Let them be surrounded by a couple handful of other liars who also continuously fail. Feh!

  28. Christine says:

Good points as well Sharpe. Years have gone by, and while the patter is the same the people per unit of time is severely down. Dregs is such an overused word but…

  29. Christine says:

Can’t ease up, that’s for certain jellybelly. But of those 2.5%, let’s face it. Though it seems impossible, most of those people actually do less than Rathbun and Rinder. Action is minimal, cycle of action is a vague concept at best and completed cycle of action is just not seen in that group.

  30. Christine says:

You might think he has a checklist, but he really isn’t that smart.

  31. Christine says:

Someone up thread pointed out the 2.5%, but let’s face it, 80 or 90% will be like your blessed granny and see right through the whole bunch of them. What cards the Rat and Rind had were played very poorly and a long time ago.

  32. Portia says:

I think there is merit to Lorette’s argument. I believe Marty and company are very transparent in their motives and operating basis. You have to remember they truly are among the none-too-bright, and the more overts they commit the more stupid they become. What was that last debacle of Marty’s? The interview that blew up in his face? You know his followers will smart from that one for a long time to come. Marty’s on his way out, that much is obvious to me.

  33. Portia says:

Exactly how I see it, Christine. Thank you!

  34. Portia says:

You are so right. They supply some pretty wild “specifics”. Marty must sit up nights wracking his pea-brain and emaiing them around the group. And I love your observation about how these are all failed group members. It does my heart good to realize that they are all surely just as busy tearing up Marty’s sad excuse for an “org” as they once were chewing up real orgs. You are welcome to them, Marty!!

  35. Ana G says:

You remind me, I was in a deli the other night and the cashier, indicating my light blue blouse and navy jacket, asked me if I was a Scientologist. She mistook me for staff from the PAC base because she lives in that area, and she went out of her way to say how much she likes the Scientologitsts. She said “I have friends who work there. Very nice people,” she said. ;-) )

  36. Larry H says:

The only trash talk you hear about Scientology is by the media and creeps like Rathbun. I include all the internet no-lifes in that group. They got tired of trashing Jay and Bob, and switched to Scientology.

  37. Ana G says:

Fortunately, Rat and Rin aren’t that bright themselves. One is clearly a half-crazed bully the other clearly a lazy opportunist. And even th press have figured out that they aren’t bringing anything new to their interviews, to the point tht now they are getting laughed off the air. So at least that we can be grateful for.

  38. Overdrive says:

Even other rabid SPs can see how bogus Rathbun’s “pro-Scientology/anti-Church” spiel is. That radio host not only laughed him off the show, he basically called him and idiot and a liar.
That’s got to be hard for Marty and friends to get over. Morons REALLY don’t like to be spotted as Morons.

  39. Ana G says:

What is it they call Vanna Bonta – Wanna-bum-check?? That warms my heart too, the idea that it’s Marty now trying to cash “Wanna’s” bum checks!! Love it!!

  40. NB says:

” (funny how they’re all connected to Rathbun for some reason!)’
    ~
That *does* seem to be the recurring outpoint, doesn’t it?

  41. JonO says:

What LRH said about “several carefully worked-out entheta statements” is what rings true to me. No matter what variations you might hear in one of these sob stories or screaming complaints, they even seem to have the same phrases and wording in most of them. It’s like they checked in with Rinder or Rathbun to find out what to say beforehand.

  42. Philly says:

Conan did a video bit on that on his show recently. He showed about a dozen newscasters giving the exact same intro to a “news” item, one after the other.

  43. StillAround says:

I’ve suspected that Rathbun himself didn’t come up with a lot of these pre-packaged natter items that Cook and his other acolytes have been spouting. I could see him sitting down with Hall and Rinder and others in their little staff-SP group agreeing on what they would say to the SP Times, etc. when they first started out.
They’ve just been playing variations on that theme since.

  44. Larry H says:

They seem to scrape up guys who were failed for a long time but couldn’t admit it to themselves. Then, instead of admitting it, they sign up with Rathbun and start acting like they didn’t fail, someone else made them fail.
It’s kind of like a psych telling people it’s not their fault they’re so screwed up, it was their father’s fault because he didn’t love them enough or some claptrap like that.

  45. Vic G. says:

Hah! How apt. You know Marty’s been there before.

  46. Overdrive says:

Bingo. Then he accuses the Church of doing just that kind of thing.
It’s not like Rathbun has much originality or creativity. He really is a stupid person pretending he’s smart. What was it Sharp said? He has “delusions of literacy”?

  47. Vic G. says:

True. If they could be, do or have, they sure as hell wouldn’t need Marty. Imagine how stupid you would have to be to let that lunatic lead you over a cliff??

  48. Philo says:

Well, they have attracted quite a few of the not-too-bright with their corny propaganda. Even the ones with pretensions of intelligence like Fairman, Hawkins and others aren’t bright enough to honestly spot an outpoint when it’s practically sitting on their nose.
But then, it’s mostly overts and ev purps that keep them from seeing much.

  49. Philo says:

Dregs is pejorative. Out-ethics is more accurate, and even leads to a handling.
I’m sure a lot of these people honestly wanted to go up the Bridge at some point, but just couldn’t face coming clean. After time, their overts and out-ethics stacked up to a point where all they saw were motivators.
It’s the road to hell, and Rathbun is the gatekeeper.

  50. Carlos A. says:

Too bad they couldn’t get a grasp of the basics – like mutual out ruds data. It could save them from the likes of Rat and Rin.

  51. Vic G. says:

Interesting. I’ve notice we haven’t heard from a number of the usual suspects for a long time. Marty tends to make noise but it’s true that he and a couple of his cohorts are the only detractors you hear from these days.

  52. Vic G. says:

Cook really disgusts me. Bad enough she rode on COB’s coattails for years while producing nothing, then took thousands from the church for her non-production, but to then go to the press and blatantly lie about COB like that is unforgiveable. I predict the door not be left open a crack for Cook and her ilk.

  53. Scott says:

Oh, stop it. Your news is so sad. Next you’ll be writing about Marty’s Final Make-wrong. What a loss of havingness that will be. I better prepare.

  54. Scott says:

I keep seeing Marty as more a hanger-on, spreading his incompetence and creating hate in the exec-level.

  55. Scott says:

Most certainly. Their only imagination is believing that they are only-one-special, that their overts can stay hidden if they act extra-wiley.

  56. Scott says:

A funny skit on the effect…

  57. Scott says:

“It does my heart good to realize that they are all surely just as busy tearing up Marty’s sad excuse for an “org”…”
    .
It gets me all weepy too. Like going out on the Rathbun Ship Courseroom and learning LRH’s Organizing Board with original source material from Rockerfeller, Ford and Sibelius.

  58. Scott says:

    Yet again, Schadenfreude.

  59. Scott says:

I think of that too Vic. I can’t imagine being that desperate. But the whole Rathbun scam seems so desperate.

  60. Scott says:

That is condensed truth there Carlos.

  61. Scott says:

Functional Psychotic is a term that someone used once. Marty is so obvious with his attempted deceptions.

  62. Scott says:

No better indicator than that is required.

  63. Scott says:

I imagine that most of the media wouldn’t find Marty interesting anymore. It is just that the 24/7 news cycle is so big that there are more worms out there looking for anything they can find that they can turn into salacious grist for the mill. So it isn’t a surprise when he can find someone.

  64. Scott says:

“delusions of literacy” – that is a great line. Marty is the typical mental adolescent getting stoked on a line here and a line there from some other author, then goes on and on about it in the most puerile way. Even more funny is the drones who eat it up and gudje in ecstasy. They must have very unfulfilled lives.

  65. Scott says:

Even if it always is, she and her ilk are drowning in the horror of the acts that they did when they choose out-ethics instead of policy, and piled it on after that to prove it was right. Simple mechanism, but very gooey.

  66. Scott says:

Of all the unusual solutions to grasp at, they certainly choose the most peculiar…the whole lot of them are pretty desperate.

  67. LaserActive says:

“They not only follow Marty’s prescribed formula, they make the same criticisms and forward the same generalities and lies. In fact, Rathbun requires that before a person can be admitted to his squirrel ranks.”
    =/
Imagine being so restricted. The whole wonderful world to study, to be a part of, to act in, and they choose to be scabs that won’t heal.

  68. LaserActive says:

Perhaps they should have worked late into the night. What they come up with is so obvious that they probably got a few drinks in them by the time they decided that they had finished everything.

  69. LaserActive says:

“But then, it’s mostly overts and ev purps that keep them from seeing much.”
    =/
It was overts and evil purps who got these guys in trouble in the first place. They are not very impressive at all.

  70. LaserActive says:

I think Ron wrote something about Blame, Shame and Regret, and doesn’t have much good to say about it.

  71. LaserActive says:

They have such low confront that they try for what they think is easy pickin’s. It is such an old story now, but these guys are as mentally slow as they are spiritually slow.

  72. LaserActive says:

Thanks for making this so clear Overdrive. I didn’t hear the event, but I can imagine from what you say that it is a great horror show for the morons.

  73. Philo says:

Methinks they doth gudje too much.
    (?)

  74. Lion says:

The composer? As in complicated and weird?

  75. Lion says:

I had one in a movie queue not long ago. An upstat couple heard me using a certain term and asked me if that was Scientology.
They said they were thinking of taking a course on the internet, and I encouraged them to do so.

  76. Lion says:

Rat and Rin went around picking up the low hanging fruit when they started a couple of years ago. People they knew were part of their little SP klatch when on staff who had now blown, and others they could get to blow and join them, like JB.
The rest, as far as I can see, were just people who hadn’t gotten gain or had otherwise blown themselves off already, and were sitting home alone looking for company in their misery.

  77. Lorette says:

Well, as much as morons “clue in” to anything, I suppose so!

  78. Lorette says:

Makes you wonder, if you could poll these people on what they do for a living, how many of them would actually be making a living. I do believe that money – meaning the desire to extort it – plays a large role in their activities.

  79. Vic G. says:

    Larry H says:

It’s kind of like a psych telling people it’s not their fault they’re so screwed up, it was their father’s fault because he didn’t love them enough or some claptrap like that.

This is so right, I am reposting it. I’ve observed this for myself – guys who hang around the fringes, never actually studying or moving on the bridge, just hanging there, rotting away because they simply do not have the guts to clean themselves up sufficiently to make progress. It’s overts, folks, plain and simple. They “fail” because they need a motivator.

  80. Vic G. says:

It’s certainly all Rathbun and Rinder have left – oh, an now Debbie Cook too. Did you see the before and after photos of her? Man, want to know how low you’ve sunk, Deb? Look in the mirror!

  81. Vic G. says:

Marty is not hanger-on – he’s the leader of the band, whipping up fear and hate wherever he goes. But then he always did that on staff too. He’s Marty Marchent-of-Chaos. Explains why he loves spending so much time nattering to the press.

  82. Vic G. says:

Some are professional squirrels who make some money butchering cases – Marty among them. Here and there you find these no-case-gainers whose service facs won’t allow them to believe they’re just no-case-gainers, so off the pro-squirrels fly to take their money and screw them up even further.

  83. Vic G. says:

Those are great courses. I took one! ;-) )

  84. Jellybelly says:

The reason these SPs complain so bitterly about the new basic books is because getting a true grasp of the basics is the LAST thing these people want others to achieve. Their Badly Done squirrel auditing hours are already dwindling down to nothing.

  85. Jellybelly says:

I hear marty’s “New SPs In” stat ain’t what it was even six months ago. I hear he’s in bad shape financially.

  86. Jellybelly says:

Well, don’t weep too hard – I’m sure there will always be Tory wandering the streets in her devil ears hair band. Some people never hear the fat lady sing. Specially when they *are* the fat lady.

  87. Ana G says:

I’m sure there are a few who actually have some clue what they are missing and perhaps could make their way back. But Marty glommed onto them before they could find the right road. Still, I can’t weep for them. There are too many good and decent folks out there who have yet to hear about Scientology, and it is they who deserve our time and effort.

  88. Scott says:

It doesn’t matter the specifics, really (though you make a good point). Just as long as we are impressed with Marty’s ferocious ability to alloy LRH with something that Marty can understand. That way something similar to LRH can gel in the Marty, and The MArty can tell us what to think, strait from THE MARty’s understanding of the source, because THE MARTY’s version of the source says that we need THE MARTY interpreting Source for us.

  89. Scott says:

Oh Noooo! BDSAH are down? Marty, please tell us why COB has ruined your ability to audit more people badly!

  90. Scott says:

You are giving me nightmares that will last a week. Please don’t stick the image of Tori in my head again. Last I remember her, she was the suck-up worm taking The Marty to the new Publishing Building so that the great insider, the one who knows the deep secrets of the Church of Scientology can say, “Uh, what is this?”

  91. Scott says:

You may be right. I just don’t see him as being that sharp, really. He is more into unusual solutions because he doesn’t know his area well enough. So he reaches out to some circuit like beating and strangling people – well, if Mike Rinder is a people, that is.

  92. Scott says:

And who would want to team up with them except for other low-cycle of action people? Marty has a gang, but they are all pretty much zombies. Sure, they can infect people just by their looks, but a little hard labor and their arm falls off.

  93. Scott says:

I am especially surprised by Rinder. Not that I knew him, but from what I understand, he at least had enough control for a short while to stay clean. It must be a great disappointment to himself that he got trapped once again.

  94. Scott says:

gudje is an uncharted slithering action, probably what happens naturally with ilk, but I don’t want to know too much more.

  95. Scott says:

That doesn’t seem optimal for even being a short-term solution. Why does someone chose a Rathbun when it only leads to more traps?

  96. ex-Independent says:

Hey guys, I heard from some Indies who are still hooked up with the squirrels that the course room that John Aaron Williams and Jim Logan set up, which Marty was so proudly promoting, shut down. I guess the squirrels don’t like to study. They mainly like to SOLO audit themselves. I don’t mind that this as they are the effect of their own screwed up solo auditing. I say we should encourage them to audit themselves. I see no better way than to let them mess their own cases up.

Another Indie told me that Marty has “declared” Silvia Kusada (his former PC) because she is even a worse squirrel than he is. The story goes that after Rathbun messed her up, Aida Thomas, another squirrel in LA, had to “clean her up.” This pissed Rathbun off. Its funny how Rathbun withholds and covers up the squirrels’ own dirty laundry.

  97. Philo says:

There have been some very interesting comments on the Debbie Cook page (link is at the top of this page.)
If you haven’t been there yet, check it out.

  98. Scott says:

I would be glad to take their money with the explicit promise that I would not screw them up further, as Marty would certainly do. And, for 50% more, I would promise to send them a postcard from Flag or the Freewinds, their choice.

  99. Linebacker says:

““delusions of literacy” – that is a great line. Marty is the typical mental adolescent getting stoked on a line here and a line there from some other author, then goes on and on about it in the most puerile way.”

Yes, it is a great line. I guess that really tells us a lot about his readers.

  100. Linebacker says:

“That’s true, I am amazed at how Debbie Cook’s rants sound just ike Marty’s! And Mike Rinder’s! And Karen de la C’s – they’re so obvious about it. These people have no shame.”

They all use Marty’s daily talking points memo thus producing coordinated stupidity.

  101. ex-Independent says:

I’ll see if I can post a photo.

  102. LaserAction says:

Hey! Maybe Marty and Mike could take one or two. No one would know if someone signed in as Mike “Dried up” Rind and Marty Mark THE Rat. They could touch an actual checksheet that has been through a Qual Division.

  103. LaserAction says:

This is a comment about how they always seem to have some excuse, and someone else is always to blame? Does that work both ways? If they do something good in life, do they also blame COB?

  104. LaserAction says:

The List of Recurring Outpoints™ is getting pretty long for that Marty guy.

  105. LaserAction says:

I don’t know about whether they are smart or not. But I like the point someone made that they keep reaching for unusual solutions

  106. LaserAction says:

Is there an emoticon that expresses a laugh and a hmmmm at the same time? Your note made me think of how these poor people couldn’t understand the big guy so they are left with being explained things by Marty the Mental Midget.

  107. Sharpe says:

Training is really anathema to these characters. Real training at least implies a desire to help others.
None of these people have a 3rd dynamic that isn’t inverted.
    .
Plus it’s a lot of work.
    .
    Anathema.

  108. Philly says:

I hate to say I told you so.
(Well, maybe in this case I don’t)

  109. Overdrive says:

That’s Rathbun’s idea of an “ideal org.” Come to think about it, that’s not a joke.

  110. Christine says:

Some things are remarkable. This is RathbunUnremarkable. It totally speaks for itself, the complete failure to apply. What has Rathbun ever really done?
