Marty Rathbun & Tony Ortega
I’ve mentioned before that Marty Rathbun thrives, like most Scientology-haters, on the black propaganda technique of presenting “yesterday’s lies as proof of today’s lies.” L. Ron Hubbard wrote about this phenomenon over half a century ago.
One doesn’t have to look far to see these lies presented and reproduced by a handful of merchants of chaos.
Even the uneducated should be able recognize these lies as part of a black propaganda campaign, especially when Marty Rathbun is openly engaged in one.
Individuals, such as Rathbun, not only propagate fabricated lies but are connected to and actively support avowed Scientology haters whose sole motive is to destroy it altogether. That alone kills any credibility the lies might invite. And that’s evidently Rathbun’s ultimate goal, there is no getting around that fact.
It’s not Rathbun’s intention to reform anything, but to destroy in multiple overt and covert ways.
For example, one doesn’t reform one’s synagogue by teaming up with Nazi’s. These are extremists who would eliminate not only all synagogues, but destroy those whose religion they are part of.
Further, Rathbun knows that his back-and-forth with a third rate hack, Tony Ortega, who profits from pimps engaged in sex trafficking, tries to make it appear that Ortega is an unbiased reporter when in fact Ortega has made vile statements about L. Ron Hubbard and the Scientology religion which shows him to be an anti-religious extremist.
Rathbun is a failure who never made it, and those who lack the confront to spot him as a source of suppression, lies and black propaganda are allowing themselves to be pulled back down into the muck he has created.

No wonder Rathbun is going on and on trying to accuse someone else of human rights violations. He’s directly supporting this whole thing. There, once again, is the Criminal Mind in action, and Rathbun is the best example of that that I’ve ever seen.

Rathbun IS “the sociopath next door.” He has no compunctions about giving support to one of the most heinous human rights violation scenarios in the US, if not the world, and aside from that, I suspect that he wishes that he could directly profit from some of the Village Voice’s filthy profit.

First of all, Rathbun has gone out of his way to use nazi analogies. they don’t work, but he resorts to them in his trademark cheap and corny way.

The fact is that statement really applies because of Rathbun’s phony stance of “saving” the religion. He even got Bunker to repeat that horsesh*t.
God, I listened to two of those reports and what Rathbun is supporting here is despicable.
Is it any wonder Rathbun natters about Scientology, and Ortega does too, and they both attack it vehemently? They both have serious things they don’t want found out about themselves, and attack Scientology because they think we should know what they are up to. They basically feel this as beings.
Their lives are hell holes.
Oh yeah, Rathbun is all about “human rights” and here he is contributing to human traffic’ing.
This whole child-prostitution thing is disgusting, and anyone with any moral sense would do everything they could to stop it, or at least separate themselves from it. You can’t expect that from Rathbun and Ortega, because money means more to them than anything, so they’ll even support child prostitution to keep financing their anti-religion hatred campaign.
I actually expect no less of Rathbun than this whole slimy entrprise. That may sound shocking, but I think he’s been up to even worse than this.

Let’s see how this works by moderately changing the nouns of the story. Some company makes and distributes drugs, all poison, some worse, all sold to kids. They have a hack who tries to distract, hide and legitimize their trade so that they can have a shingle on the street. Then we have a “person” who helps with the distractions by brewing wars between groups, twisting facts, ignoring the positive accomplishments, typical street punk trying to ascend from his low-life.

Perhaps the public insanity and gross errors in relationships is just a set up for the Rathbun Pledge: “I was once failing, betraying friends, creating excuses to dump on trusted resources and getting caught in jail and acting like a bag-lady in public. He’s too busy trying to put up another hate article on Scientology to be bothered with a mere 250,000 people who object to criminal human trafficking. What a piece of work.
If Tony Ortega were a real journalist, he would have some ethical standards about objectivity and not becoming too involved with his “sources”. I think he long ago crossed that line. Rathbun of course is one of those Ortega is in bed with.
But it’s fortunate for us that critics of Scientology have crimes as we see here with Tony Ortega and his Rathbun fan club. Child sex trafficking. That’s a hell of a thing to be profiting from.

Well one thing for sure that Tony Ortega and Marty Rathbun have in common – they are both bullies and cowards. How many times has Rathbun resorted to violence when someone confronts him in person? I don’t know if Tony Ortega would get violent, but he certainly was no where to be seen when the clergy led group showed up at his door. Apparently many of them were women members of the clergy even. What a coward.
I wonder what he has on Rathbun that he wants to tell you. He should just ask you in the open so that we can read it here.

Up in Washington State, they don’t take too kindly to child sex-traffickers and they have passed a law that targets the Village Voice online ads and makes it a criminal offense if a site like Backpage.com which is the Village Voice’s site, allows photos to be placed on their site of a minor to advertise them for the purpose of sex if the site did not take adequate measures to verify the person’s age. So, it looks like what Tony Ortega and the Village Voice are doing elsewhere is now a criminal offense in Washington. This new law was apparently just signed by the Governor yesterday. It seems a pretty short distance from Rathbun to Ortega to child sex trafficking and prostitution. No wonder the guy is so anti-Scientology / anti-religion. He certainly wouldn’t want to have to confess to a member of the clergy what he’s really been up to. It’s downright shameful.
Is this Ortega guy married? I can’t imagine how his wife must feel being married to someone profiting from child sex-trafficking.

Apparantly my new article forced Marty Rathbun to come out with another lie attempting to distance himself from Tony Ortega.
I knew that rathbun was involved in something totally scummy like this. I beleive you will find even worse things about him.
Yes, Tony is married to Fatimah S. Ortega. She is a nice girl from Indonesia. However, I don’t think they live together any more.
Rathbun is just amazing. I’m beginning to think he has actual organic damage. He can say something like that after all this time feeding Ortega the most virulent anti-Scientology garbage ever produced?
Never let it be said that Marty suffers from courage. He couldn’t hold a position if you nailed him to it.

I am horrified by what I have read in these newspapers about this website Backpage – and the fact that this newspaper that owns it, Village Voice, has been publishing such lies about Scientology now makes perfect sense. This editor Ortega seems ignorant that we have been exposing publications like his for over 60 years and I am very proud of Vince for continuing the tradition of finding the crimes of SPs and exposing them. It is wonderful that papers all over the country and even media organizations like BBC have made it so easy by spreading the news far and wide. I can’t see any decent person tolerating this kind of criminal abuse. When it comes to exploiting children, there is “no other hand,” as “Tevye” would say – there is no pro-survival society on earth that does not condemn this. So this Tony Ortega must think this kind of behavior toward children is tolerable – even normal. Which tells me what Ortega probably does with his weekends. Yet it makes perfect sense to me that Marty Rathbun maintains such close ties with this person. Marty always allies himself with abusive people – right?
There’s more to the Ortega story that will soon unfold. I have a relative whose spouse is a journalist with a major and there’s a big story on the line re Village Voice from a different angle than backpage and Scientology. It’s about the decay and destruction of an American iconic journalistic heirloom. It is along the lines of how Village Voice was raped and pillaged by New Times Media and that Ortega was date coincident and monumental in its destruction. Rathbun will cut his lines to Ortega in due course as from what I gather the frenzy is about to begin. Village Voice is going to be a sort of News of the World Murdock fiasco. Mark my words.

Oh Happy Day. It is one of those things that you know is coming, but you just wonder how many of their friends they will betray as they lash out in their final moments.
Keep it up, because you kinda know that they can’t. All they can do is point to all the people who let them down in their failed quest to dominate the world with their filth.
It is really good that all this is finally coming out. If you want to know the reason that Tony Ortega has got it in for Scientology and Scientologists, it’s pretty clear that he doesn’t want us to know that he is taking blood money from the degradation and abuse of human beings who in many cases are being forced into sex-slavery. I’ve seen some of the online stories and many of these women are underage girls who are being forced with violence and intimidation into sex-slavery. The insanity of Marty Rathbun and Mike Rinder and their robotic follower is that they have befriended the guy. They can’t see for themselves the evil that lurks behind. These two are going down the tubes quite fast now. I wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing more evidence of their present time criminal acts coming out on this blog. Keep up the good work. Quite correct. And Rathbun is so reactive that he can’t but come to the defense of Ortega, who clearly hates Scientology and L. Ron Hubbard. It is indicative of where Rathbun has sunk to on the tone scale that he has aligned with anti-social sociopaths like Tony Ortega and like an Ursula Caberta (whose own government sees her as a nut case that they don’t know what to do with). I am sure there’s more that will be coming out about Ortega now that the tip of the iceberg has been exposed. Rathbun is way too predictable for his own good. His supporters also cut him way too much slack when they see him doing stupid things like treating an Sp like Ortega like he is an ally of their cause.
I watched the CNN show where Anderson Cooper is trying to pin down the rep from the Village Voice about whether Village Voice knows that the ads that appear in the Adult section are for prostitution. The guy tries to “no answer” Anderson a bunch of times, which just made it obvious to one and all that the Voice (and Marty Rathbun’s brother Tony Ortega) are completely cognizant of what is going on. So if Ortega thinks that prostitution and all the evils that go along with it is good business, you can just imagine what goes on in his personal life that he considers “ethical” which most of us would consider criminal, immoral and reprehensible. This then leads to the next point that Rathbun obviously also thinks it is OK since he has hitched his wagon to the Voice and Mr. Ortega.

But since Marty is always proclaiming his “ethics,” I wonder how he feels about the demonstration outside the Voice’s offices in New York on Thursday where 250,000 petitions were delivered to the Voice protesting the VV-owned Backpage.com which enslaves underage girls all over the country? I was there and saw lots of placards with Ortega’s name on them. Tony Ortega is the human face of this Voice-sponsored sex trafficking, and has defended it time and again. If Marty is supposed to be so “ethical,” I wonder how he can associate with Ortega who Rathbun – from his blog – makes pains to hold Ortega (this purveyor of filth and blood money) on such a high pedestal.Hmmmm, Marty – that’s what you call hypocrisy. It’s not just the lies. It’s the perversion of every aspect of anything to do with Scientology or LRH into a degradation or invalidation. It’s clearly an obsession to destroy, masked as “reportage.”

That’s the real story. Like most print media, they don’t produce anything that people want to exchange in abundance for, particularly with a hack like Ortega as editor.
So, like Rathbun, he becomes a parasite of Scientology, defaming it to get some attention, any attention, and even that doesn’t provide the funding. The prostitution/sex-trafficking forum they conduct gives them the blood money needed to continue their destructive campaign.

About the last thing you can expect such people to do is address the moral ramifications of what they’re doing. They will only do so when forced to do so by the law and/or public opinion.

What seems to be slipping by most everyone is how Rathbun rants on and on about “corporate” corruption and heartlessness and greed, and here he is actively, daily, continually licking the hand of just such a “corporation.”
It’s the corporate culture around the VV that enables them to think they can support human/child-trafficking and it’s OK.
The VV and Ortega obviously think it’s OK to make money from human suffering.
But then Rathbun thrives on human suffering, and he’ll overlook the “corporate” culture as long as it forwards his hatred of his fellow man.

Rathbun’s biggest lie is that he is pro-LRH. He is an LRH degrader, both directly in his statements and his gross squirrelling of the tech, and directly in his material support of Ortega, Bunker, Berry, Caberta et al.
(There’s no “indirectly” there, but I’m sure he degrades LRH indirectly in every way he can think of.)
He may well end up there yet, especially if he loses his Village Voice voice.
They are brothers in the sense that they are both suppressives stuck in incidents, and actively engaged in trying to destroy LRH and his legacy. That’s what they love about each other.

Did you see the latest New York Times article by Nicholas Kristof? I just saw this. He says that “the biggest forum for sex trafficking of under – age girls in the Unites States appears to be a web site called Backpage.com.” This site is owned by Village Voice and is featured on the front page of every one of their online sites for each of their publications. Not only that but Kristof has just exposed some of the corporate backers of Village Voice such as Goldman Sacks who are apparently now trying to dump their shares as they don’t want to be associated with sex trafficking. Apparently Rathbun’s media hero, Tony Ortega likes having that reputation.

It is so odd that the use of words inure one to the real implications of them. Human suffering starts to get watered down when the type of abusive slavery that Ortega’s group encourages and makes money from is horrendous.
Probably no coincidence that ‘abuse’ is Marty Rathbun’s middle name, and that the world he would create if he were in control of the Church would be something that could hide his slave making tenancies.

Rathbun (“the Criminal Mind sees others as he himself is”) goes on about the “sociopathic” personality having no conscience, no ability to feel for others. It’s this very trait (of a suppressive) that enables these two to happily go along trying to destroy things while they are enabling the suffering of many…and making self-righteous (and utterly bogus) pronouncements about “human rights.” They make Elmer Gantry look like George Washington.
In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they manage to avoid any real, legal consequences for their contributions to this human trafficking. Both are as slippery as wet bars of soap when it comes to their own personal responsibility for what they’re really doing.

I am convinced that Ortega will plea that this has nothing to do with him. Rathbun of course hasn’t got a sufficient responsibility level to even perceive that he has been arduously SUPPORTING the whole operation, no matter how he tries to remove himself from that responsibility.
You’re not likely to hear any from Rathbun, unless he pays lip service to it to try and prove that he’s an actual feeling being.
He and Ortega are only interested in “human rights” as a made-up attack point on Scientology.
I don’t think you can abuse others the way Rathbun does and not get abused yourself once in a while. That probably has a lot to do with why he’s under attack mentally so much.

What they are doing is a version of sock-puppetry. They surely put their heads together, Rathbun feeds Ortega “data” and Ortega embellishes it, makes it his own, and publishes it. Rathbun comments on it, links to it, and says “see, I told you so,” as though it were someone else agreeing with him. Rathbun points Ortega to other “sources” so it doesn’t just look like the Marty Rathbun Puppet Show.
As a result, you see all the same old recycled entheta, issued in a new unit of time by Ortega (Jerry Armstrong, Marty? Really? Plus you were the MAJOR INSIDE PLAYER on that fiasco which you now mis-represent so as to make it practically unrecognizable? Please.)

I was somewhat obvious when Ortega and Rathbun got into their little snit with each other a few weeks ago that there would be an exposure of the true HUGE anti-social behavior that they were involved in. Rathbun may be a conniving but incompetent leach, but he knows what he is hiding and certainly knew what Ortega was hiding, and knew he was complicit.
Everything that Rathbun touches in the last couple years has turned into a faster dwindling spiral than it was in when he got involved. I will never say that he is incapable again.
I’m looking for Proud in the negative personality characteristics. I suppose Rathbun could twist something to make his inexcusable life justified. He is a pro at that.
